2008 Mine Tours

Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2
Depart Pinebridge Center at 7:30 P.M.

Back by popular demand, the Fluorescent Mine Tours will be conducted two nights during the Festival this year. Hosted by KT Feldspar, mine goers will visit Pine Mountain mine on Friday and/or Saturday night for the Fluorescent Mine Tour. Leaving Pinebridge Center at dusk,tour goers will be transported to the mines by shuttle buses. After arriving at the mine, black lights will be turned on and tour goers will see the minerals begin to glow in the dark!

Participants can keep minerals that they find that can be transported on the vans.Tour cost is $15 and reservations are required.Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber at 765-9033.
